At The Gown Chick, graduation is more than a ceremony — it is the celebration of an achievement, a milestone and a moment to be remembered. The Gown Chick is led by Director Janette Corporal, an Australian businesswoman with more than 40 years’ experience in academic dress and graduation services. Janette spent 32 years as Academic Dress Manager at QUT Guild, developing an extensive knowledge of academic regalia and the exacting requirements involved in delivering successful graduation ceremonies.

In 2017, Janette established The Gown Chick, bringing together her decades of experience, meticulous attention to detail and genuine commitment to customer care.  Her contribution to business has also been recognised through the Women’s Network Australia Impact Awards in 2025.
